September 27 BARCELONA, SPAIN
Arrive in Barcelona and check in to your hotel. Afternoon free time.
September 28 BARCELONA
Barcelona is an artist's, architect's, foodie's, historian's and culturist's dream. Tour the Gothic Quarter in the medieval city center and Las Ramblas. Visit Montjuic Hill and see some imaginative architectural creations, including La Sagrada Familia. (B)
September 29 BARCELONA - EXCURSION TO MONTSERRAT - BARCELONA
Join an excursion to the mountain Montserrat, home to the Benedictine monastery of Santa Maria de Montserrat. You'll ride a funicular to the top of the mountain. You'll see the famous Black Madonna sculpture, which sits at the back of the church, above the altar area. (B)
September 30 BARCELONA - NIMES, FRANCE - ARLES - EMBARKATION
Check out of the hotel and board the TGV high-speed train to Nimes. See the highlights of this delightful town before transferring via motorcoach to Arles, where you'll board your luxury ship. (B,D)
October 1 ARLES - AVIGNON
Join a walking tour of Arles highlighting top sights. Afterwards, venture to the medieval hilltop village, Les Baux de Provence, followed by a visit to an olive farm where you'll sample the olive oil. In the evening, cruise to Avignon for an illuminations cruise through the city. (B,L,D)
October 2 AVIGNON
Discover the history of Avignon on a guided walking tour that includes the Papal Palace and the medieval walls surrounding the historic town center. (B,L,D)
October 3 VIVIERS
Take in the quaint surroundings of Viviers. Next, travel to the hilltop village of Grignan. After visiting this enchanting Provencal town, go in search of the highly prized "Black Diamond" truffles with a farmer and his trustworthy canine companion. (B,L,D)
October 4 TOURNON
Admire the hilltop village of Tournon with its imposing castle. Take a train ride past magnificent landscape, stopping at the charming little station of Colombier le Vieux-Saint Barthelemy le Plain, where the train maneuvers in preparation for its return journey. (B,L,D)
October 5 VIENNE - LYON
Situated between the wine regions of Beaujolais and Cotes du Rhone lies Vienne with its Roman past. On a walking tour, see the Augustus and Livia Temple, Saint Maurice Cathedral, and St. Pierre Abbey. For the more active, take a guided bike tour along a portion of the ViaRhona bike route. Later, travel to Lyon, considered the "Food Capital of France." Take a walking tour that starts in Fourviere Hill, continue to the old town of Lyon, followed by a guided walk through the St. Jean district. You can also visit the famous indoor market hall Les Halles de Lyon where you'll have a chance to sample the delicacies offered by butchers, bakers, chocolatiers and cheesemongers. (B,L,D)
October 6 LYON
Visit a traditional Beaujolais winery and learn the history and techniques of their vineyard. Plus, enjoy a tasting of their specialty. (B,L,D)
October 7 LYON - DISEMBARKATION - PARIS
Disembark the ship and enjoy tasting some local Lyon specialties before boarding your high-speed train to Paris and checking into your hotel. (B)
October 8 PARIS
Take in the sites of Paris, including Notre-Dame Cathedral, Arc de Triomphe and the Eiffel Tower. You'll also stroll the Champs Élysees with its cinemas, sidewalk cafes and luxury specialty shops. (B)
October 9 PARIS
Spend the day at your leisure. In the evening, visit Montmartre, long known as the city's premier artist's enclave. You'll be taken on an evening illumination tour, discovering why Paris is renowned as the "City of Light." (B)
October 10 DEPART PARIS
Bid farewell to Paris and prepare for your flight home. (B)

All prices are based on double occupancy. Prices and itinerary are subject to change at any time without prior notification. Prices do not include travel insurance, tips, round trip air from the U.S. etc. The full deposit payment of $450 per person double occupancy is due NOW in order to make a firm reservation ($900 per cabin). Flight arrangements are offered by AMAWATERWAYS and can be booked through Kerstin's Deaf Travel. A passport, valid for 6 months beyond the completion date of your travel and an ETA are required. Appropriate physical fitness is required since the tour includes walking at each stop. Minimum group size: 20 guests, maximum group size: approx. 40 guests.
